Just ‘B’ Reflective Spaces will be hosting the first of its Schwartz Rounds this December – a structured forum for staff across the Humber and North Yorkshire primary care workforce to come together and reflect.
The first Round takes place on Thursday 7 December, 2-3pm and will be held online. The theme is ‘A patient I’ll never forget’.
Just ‘B’ Reflective Spaces provides free, confidential spaces for primary care staff impacted by end of life care and bereavement across North Yorkshire and the Humber.
We know that there is heavy toll on practitioners who come into contact with patients and clients requiring end of life care, or who are affected by bereavement. Through Reflective Spaces, you can discuss, explore and reflect upon your work, specifically the emotional impact experienced, improving your wellbeing and resilience levels.
Just ‘B’ Reflective Spaces supports with stress, anxiety and psychological effects of working with patients or clients at the end of life and associated bereavement support needs this often brings.
It is available to primary care practitioners who operate across the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership footprint – including GPs, GP practice staff, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists. This includes the districts of North Yorkshire, York, East Yorkshire and North and North East Lincolnshire.
The service pilot is delivered by family of services and registered charity Herriot Hospice Homecare, Just ‘B’ and Saint Michael’s Hospice – an organisation uniquely placed as specialists in end of life care and bereavement support. It is funded by Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.
The service includes:
– Easy and confidential access to professional 1:1 or group supervision with a Reflective Spaces Practitioner, via a wide range of formats to suit your needs.
– Introduction of and access to Schwartz Rounds – a structured forum where staff come together to discuss the emotional and social aspects of working in healthcare. These will be available to any primary care group across Humber and North Yorkshire.
– Access to a specialist helpline all week, 8am-8pm – providing immediate access to expert emotional wellbeing and bereavement support from trained specialists. Call 01423 856 799. Please let the support worker know you are accessing support as part of Reflective Spaces.
