Supporting mental health in schools and colleges with Just ‘B’
Just ‘B’ covers a breadth of mental health concerns, from anxiety and grief to challenges like suicide and self-harm. Our expert team is here to support people during their most difficult moments and help them with their emotional wellbeing every single day through self-care tips and more.
Our charity collaborates with teachers, pastoral leads, and school leaders, creating a real and lasting difference. Working across Yorkshire, from Harrogate and Leeds right up to Stokesley and Scarborough, we combine in-depth local knowledge with a breadth of experience to meet the unique needs of each person we support.
As an independent charity, every penny we raise goes directly into improving the lives of people locally and across the UK. We’re committed to making sure no one faces bereavement or mental health struggles alone.
Donate now to allow us to continue supporting children and young people.

Partner with Just ‘B’ to have a dedicated support worker come into your school and meet with students one-on-one.
The schools we currently support have fed back the difference having a member of Just ‘B’ alongside their school’s team has made for both students and staff.
“Samantha, our school’s Just ‘B’ Support Worker, has got to know my daughter and understands that she is conscientious and wants to do well. This allows her to trust that she will be believed when she needs support. Samantha has eased a difficult transition back to school after 6 months and made it much more positive than it would have been. This has been an incredibly difficult time and Samantha’s help has had a huge impact on us as family.”

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to supporting young people with their mental health. Sometimes, asking a professional which approach to take or having a listening ear to offload can be extremely beneficial for you or your staff members. We’re here for you if you want our guidance on a specific circumstance or issue.

In times of crisis, such as a sudden death or road traffic collision, we step into immediate action and support schools and communities for free. Our charity will be there for staff and can help with assemblies or one-to-one support with space to express difficult emotions.
We’ll soon be inviting you to sign up to our new school’s newsletter to receive helpful guides and templates for supporting your students with their mental health and developing your team’s skills. We’ll keep our emails brief and send only valuable resources no more than once per month.
You can also view many of our existing resources right now and start learning and growing your school’s emotional wellbeing.
