Just ‘B’ Schools Emotional Wellbeing Support Service

Just ‘B’ provides emotional wellbeing support to primary and secondary schools in our area. This service aims to provide children and young people with a space to share, explore and develop an understanding of their lives and emotional responses. Support is flexible, holistic and integrated with other services, based on the needs of the child or young person.

All of our Just ‘B’ Support Workers work closely with family members, caregivers and school staff throughout the work.

What does this Service Provide?

The Just ‘B’ Schools Service is an emotional wellbeing support service available to all schools. We are currently working with over 25 local schools.

All our Just ‘B’ Schools staff work as part of a multi-disciplinary Just ‘B’ team, able to call upon expertise and input from any of the disciplines working in the team.  These currently include; social workers, counsellors, therapists, nurses, and teachers. Just ‘B’ Schools staff are trained in one of the above professions are specifically assigned to each school.

Just ‘B’ Support workers are based in school and are able to provide:

?One to one assessment and on-going one to one support for students

?Consultancy advice for staff

?Group work for students

? Work with parents/caregivers

?Class and assembly-based work

?Training and education

Our schools team is able to support a number of issues including but not exclusive to;

?Self-harm

?Relationship difficulties

?Sexuality

?Young carers

?Drug use

?Alcohol use

?County line involvement

?Isolation

?Body image

?Anxiety

?Low mood

?Low level OCD

?Stress

?Exam pressure

?Support after abuse

?Discrimination

?Bullying

?Anger management

?Challenging behaviour

We work alongside other services where appropriate to ensure a joint up approach is in place.

How can I access this service?

All referrals to Just ‘B’ Schools Service have to be received from the school directly.
