Meet our team

Our team is headed up by Megan Itson and Clare Godden.

Megan Itson – Senior Bereavement Support Worker – Children and Young People (funded by BBC Children in Need)

“I hold a Masters in Social Work and I have been supporting children, young people and families since 2005, both in the voluntary and statutory sector. It was in my previous roles that my interest in bereavement and loss really began to develop.

“I love Maltesers, Wimbledon, the music of ‘Vampire Weekend’ and my Fiat 500 which is called ‘Dee Dee’.

“Here at JustB I support children, young people and families. Support can mean anything you like…..from sitting and chatting, having a cry, playing in the sand tray, making a memory box or telling the story of what life is like for you. JustB is your space.”

Clare Godden – Senior Bereavement Support Worker – Adults

“My name is Clare and I like pizza, chocolate and singing! I dislike queuing and my daughters not doing their homework!

“I am able to bring into my work my personal, professional and volunteering experiences to help bereaved people begin to understand their grieving process.

“Bereavement support means different things to people coming to Just ’B’ and together we can work on helping you share what is important – whether this is simply through talking or using more creative ways. Here at Just ‘B’ you can express all you are holding and experiencing in a safe and trusting environment and hopefully, over time, find a way to be in the world.”
